This year has been a year full of learning, a year full of firsts, and meeting the goals I set for myself! In January, I started my Instagram page with only my sister and husband being followers. I set a goal of having 100 followers by the end of the year. I currently have 196 followers! I am amazed by the amount of followers I have with only starting my page a year ago. In February, I started the process of creating a website to sell my completed crocheted items and document my journey with a blog. I set a goal to make at least one sale on my website. This Black Friday, I completed that goal! I created a total of three patterns. I had no idea how hard and time consuming it can be to create a pattern. I even did my first craft show!
I am so thankful for my followers, for the people that have bought items, and for those that supported my business by sharing and encouraged me to simply not give up. I even had the opportunity to make my first custom order, which involved me having to create a pattern to fulfill that order. It was such a fun learning experience! I will post a picture below of the finished item. It is the character from the cartoon Owl House.
This year I have set new goals! I want to be more consistent on Instagram and increasing my following to 500 followers. I want to start a Youtube account and to get 10 sales on my website. I also want to just enjoy crocheting and not feel so rushed to keep up with other crocheters and focus on my own journey. I am so excited for 2023 and to see where it will take me! Happy New Year!
